Caroline's Causes

At the core of our mission is a deep passion for delivering pioneering programs and immersive learning experiences for young explorers in grades kindergarten to eighth grade. In partnership with institutions, educators and communities, we deliver programming and hands-on experiences that empower young explorers to unlock their boundless creativity and innovation and, yes, have fun.

Our hope is that children who participate in our programs will develop a sense of curiosity, be lifelong learners, have confidence to explore new things, feel connected to each other and our world, and use their minds and talents to make the world a better place. 

The Caroline Kramer Faust Foundation also supports other non-profit organizations in our focus areas.  

NURTURING NATURE

Caroline was a self-described "Nature Girl".  Spending time at the beach and in her backyard fostered a genuine love and connection to the natural world and a curiosity about its creatures and habitats.  The Caroline Kramer Faust Foundation supports biomimicry (study of nature's best ideas to improve human lives and make the world a better place), connecting with nature, and helping creatures or habitats thrive.  

CURATING CREATIVITY

Caroline and art were best friends. People, nature, fun and love were common themes in Caroline's creations.  As she got older, Caroline would also draw whimsical characters who would be accompanied by elaborate make-believe stories.  What made Caroline a great young artist was her incredible imagination, an early appreciation of aesthetics (how things look and feel), an awareness of others' feelings, and her thoughtful observation of the world around her. The Caroline Kramer Faust Foundation gives children opportunities to discover creativity through the arts and other creative adventures often offered to them for the first time. 

 LOVE OF LEARNING

What we learn becomes a part of who we are.  Caroline was fortunate to attend wonderful schools with kind teachers who loved teaching.  We believe in the motto:  Non Scholae Sed Vitae Discimus -- "We Learn Not for School, But for Life."  The Caroline Kramer Faust  Foundation helps children discover their interests and passions by providing access to learning resources and supporting teachers both inside and outside the classroom.
